At the age of 18, Sandy Everhart began writing Secret in the Attic as a fun adventure for her nieces and nephews. Later, a fellow author encouraged her to publish her delightful tales so young adults everywhere could enjoy the enchanting stories.

Along the way, she discovered that facing everyday issues and moral dilemmas through the eyes of fantasy gives young and old alike a new perspective in a world that needs champions and heroes.
